Key Features of HD Series DDC Controller

Universal Programmable I/O

The HD Series uses a universal I/O design that can be configured through software. The UIO architecture allows input and output functions to be assigned according to project requirements without requiring DIP switches or hardware jumpers.

This flexible configuration makes the programmable DDC controller suitable for different building control applications and reduces the need to use different controller models for different I/O requirements.

Multiple BACnet and Modbus Protocols

The HD Series DDC controller supports major building automation communication protocols, including:

  • BACnet/IP
  • BACnet MS/TP
  • Modbus TCP
  • Modbus RTU

It supports both Modbus Master/Slave and BACnet Data Sharing, enabling integration with a wide range of building automation devices and third-party control systems.

Ethernet and Isolated RS-485 Communication

The controller provides 10/100M Ethernet communication and isolated RS-485 interfaces for reliable network communication.

Ethernet supports IPv4/IPv6, TCP, UDP, and HTTP, while the RS-485 interfaces support baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps.

The RS-485 interfaces can connect to I/O expansion modules and field devices, helping create distributed building automation control networks.

Flexible I/O Expansion

Each RS-485 interface can connect up to five I/O expansion modules. This allows the control system to expand according to the number of connected field points and project requirements.

The modular architecture is suitable for applications requiring distributed control of HVAC equipment and building services.

Bluetooth Configuration

The integrated Bluetooth communication function allows users to connect a mobile phone to the controller to view and modify DDC configurations.

This can simplify commissioning, configuration, and maintenance work during installation and service.

Remote Firmware Upgrade

The HD Series DDC controller supports remote upgrading, allowing system firmware and controller functions to be maintained without requiring direct physical access to every controller.

This feature can help simplify maintenance for distributed BMS and building automation systems.

Hardware Security

The controller is equipped with a hardware encryption chip supporting SM2 and SM4 national cryptographic algorithms, providing an additional layer of hardware-based security for supported applications.

Built-In Real-Time Clock and Scheduling

An integrated real-time clock supports programmable control schedules, including weekly schedules and holiday schedules.

This enables automated operation according to building occupancy, operating hours, seasonal requirements, and other predefined schedules.

Built-In RS-485 Termination Resistor

The HD Series includes a selectable RS-485 termination resistor that can be enabled through a button, reducing the need for an external bus matching resistor during installation.
